CN20 Monkey Block

£120.00

This block allows a second lens support to be mounted to the Canon CN20 contact plate underneath the 1.5x at the back of the lens.

Aside from making the setup more rigid and taking the pressure off of the mount, this also allows you to hot swap your cameras and mount other smaller cameras* directly to the lens quickly and easily.

Compatibility
It is designed to fit all standard 19mm bridge supports. It fits flush with the Arri LS-9 Lens support and so all other adjustable 19mm bridge supports tested so far also fit. I personally use the Arri LS-9 at the front of the lens and the Vocus adjustable bridge support with this block at the back of the lens.

Lightweight & Durable
The block itself is aluminium but uses an austenitic chrome-nickel steel insert to reinforce the thread making it incredibly durable and suitable for everyday use. The 3 screws that attach the block to the contact plate are off the shelf bolts so you can easily replace them if you lose one.

I developed this for myself because I couldn’t find anything else out there, even contacting Canon direct. So with some inspiration from a fellow camera person (Steve Phillipps) this became a little passion project that I’m really happy with and I hope you get as much satisfaction using it as I do.

*you are likely to need a lens mount adapter to attach a smaller camera to the mount of the lens e.g. PL to E-Mount
